ISECO has over 20 years of experience in advising industry on the development and optimization of systems for industrial refrigeration. The Australian-based consultancy is now becoming a partner of to showcase its expertise in the concept design and the development of ammonia projects worldwide.

Having served the industry and end users for the past 20 years, the specialist for industrial refrigeration consultancy from Australia wants to present its know-how and experience to the international community. ISECO’s broad range of services not only includes general consultancy in the concept design and the development phase, but also the full tender design, documentation and evaluation services. Moreover, it is active in construction inspection, compliance, and sign off services.

With diversified projects, including large ammonia installations as well as ammonia/CO2 cascade systems in Australia, New Zealand and the US, the consultancy is already well established in one half of the world. It is now ready to offer its services also to other world regions interested in eco-friendly ammonia solutions. “The time difference between Australia and Europe can be an advantage as we work while you sleep,” says Ray Clarke, Director of ISECO. Besides its involvement in industrial application processes, ISECO has also developed a high level of knowledge in supermarket refrigeration systems and is currently engaged in a project for a country-wide rollout of innovative refrigeration systems by a major German supermarket chain in Australia. As a completely independent entity, ISECO has no alliance with any contractors or suppliers. It operates on a fee for service basis only since the consultancy does not supply equipment or carry out installation works.


“Representatives from ISECO have presented technical papers at all of the past three IIR conferences in Macedonia. Through this activity and along with other associations the company has begun to develop an international profile,” says Ray Clarke, Director of ISECO.

Established in 1990, ISECO operates from a central base in Victoria, Australia. Its founder Ray Clarke has over 40 years of experience in the refrigeration industry. The consultancy is a specialist in the field of refrigeration system design, energy efficiency, risk assessment and design verification for ammonia refrigeration systems. ISECO has been engaged in over 500 projects in a wide range of industries, mainly in food production and storage.
