Prevention and Control of Atmospheric Pollution Law

Background

This Law was formulated to prevent and control atmospheric pollution as well as to protect safeguard human health, and promote sustainable development of economy and society.

The State Council and the local people's governments at various levels must incorporate the protection of the atmospheric environment into their national economic and social development plans, make rational plans for the distribution of industrial layout, strengthen the scientific research on the prevention and control of atmospheric pollution, adopt preventive and curative measures against atmospheric pollution, and protect and improve the atmospheric environment.
