Refrigeration and air conditioning engineers who are currently working towards a nationally recognised RAC qualification in the UK maybe nominated for the award, with the nominations submitted by either the employer or the training provider of the nominee. Ammonia projects and technology shortlisted for receiving 2010 awards In the beginning of August 2010, the event organisers announced the shortlisted companies and projects for the various categories. Among the candidate projects for receiving the ‘Environmental Collaboration of the Year’, ‘International Achievement of the Year’ and/or the ‘Low Carbon Achievement of the Year’ award is the ‘World's Largest Natural District Heat Pump’ using ammonia refrigerant implemented by Star Refrigeration, Cool Partners, Vilter and Norsk Kulde. Star Refrigeration is also shortlisted for receiving the ‘RAC Contractor of the Year’ award, as well as the ‘Refrigeration Innovation of the Year’ award for its ‘Neatpump’ technology, a packaged ammonia industrial heat pump.
