With just over 1,800 companies showcasing their latest products and technologies to more than 35,000 HVAC/R professionals, the 62 AHR Expo in Orlando is an indication of the economic rebound following the 2008 crash. AHR promises to bring together exhibitors and industry experts from across the field from over 120 countries. During the three day trade show educational sessions, courses and a new product technology theatre will ensure that the AHR continues to be a hub for HVAC/R knowledge exchange. Over 20 companies have agreed to hold nearly 50 free educational sessions. This is designed to give attendees a better understanding of the newest trends and technologies impacting the industry. HVAC technology’s role in various national and international green building standards will be one of the central themes at this year’s educational sessions. Ammonia technology will enjoy a presence at these concurrent events. Workshops The AHR will host a number of events that will be particularly relevant for the ammonia21.com community. The presentations and workshops will feature experts from the sensor, green building design, residential heating and cooling, valves, but also training and other components sectors of the HVAC industry. ammonia21.com highlights the following events as relevant towards its community. Monday 25 January 11:00 - Introducing the Next Generation of Refrigeration System Analyzers - Testo systems will present and highlight an overview and introduction of the next generation of refrigeration system analyzers 12:00 - Electronic Pressure Independent Control Valve - Belimo will explain its new technology that provides cost effective, accurate Pressure Independent Control Valves, and their energy saving benefit in systems. 12:30 - Refrigerant Monitoring and ASHRAE Compliance - The session focuses on the facts about when, where and why to monitor for refrigerant gases with fixed gas monitors in chillers and other process cooling systems. This presentation will include methods for cost-effective compliance with ASHRAE Standards and general safety concerns. 13:00 - Energy Applications for Today's Buildings 16:00 - Wrist Reporter, wireless HVAC sensor system - Eco-Aqua is a component that supplies hot water from wasted energy produced by air conditioners. It will also have an option of providing immediate hot water at point of use. ASHRAE winter conference As every year, ASHRAE will conduct its annual winter conference concurrently with the AHR.
