Gold Partner MYCOM Mayekawa has added its R717/R744 cooling solution “NewTon 3000” for cold storage refrigeration, which achieves 20% reduction in power consumption compared to conventional HFC refrigerators. ![]() The system’s new NH3 compressor achieves 20% reduction in power consumption, while Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) shows 33% of CO2 emission reduction compared to systems using HFC-404a. For higher safety the system, it employs indirect method using CO2 as secondary working fluid and limits the amount of NH3 refrigerant to approximately one sixth.
