Yesterday at the Copenhagen climate conference, on behalf of President Obama, Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced the launch of a new initiative to promote clean energy technologies in developing countries. This includes the Super-efficient Equipment and Appliance Deployment Program that will harness the market and convening power of Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate (MEF) countries to improve efficiency for appliances traded throughout the world.
