ammonia21.com is managed by shecco, a Marketing & Communications consultancy helping companies to bring climate friendly solutions faster to market. shecco decided to launch this portal with the support of pioneering companies in the field of R717 technology.

The website is the third shecco platform exclusively dedicated to a single or a group of natural refrigerants. While R744.com, focusing on the refrigerant CO₂, has already been running successfully since end-2006, shecco's previous project "hydrocarbons21.com" was launched in January 2009 to promote the group of hydrocarbon refrigerants.

ammonia21.com is part of shecco's new "21" series promoting sustainable technologies. The number "21" stands for coming of age, adulthood, maturity – just as ammonia technology is a technically mature alternative ready to replace many more harmful F-gases worldwide.
